Sumatra Mandheling
Lintong, North Sumatra · 1100–1600 masl · Wet-Hulled
Wet-hulled (Giling Basah) Sumatran coffee: heavy-bodied, earthy, herbal, low-acid, and distinctive.
Sumatra's earthy, full body comes from 'Giling Basah' (wet-hulling), a humid-climate shortcut found almost nowhere else. The parchment is stripped while the bean is still soft, which also gives the green bean its signature blue-green, foot-shaped look.
