About BeanMap

Explore coffee origins on an interactive world map

BeanMap plots 55 specialty coffee origins from 41 countries onto a spinnable globe. Click a marker to fly to the growing region, read its flavor profile as a six-axis radar, and get a brewing recipe tuned to that particular bean — grind, water temperature, ratio, and pour schedule.

Why everything sits near the equator

Arabica needs a narrow band of altitude, rainfall, and temperature that only really exists between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn — roughly 23.44° north and south. BeanMap draws that band, the Bean Belt, straight onto the globe, which is why Ethiopia, Colombia, and Indonesia keep turning up on your bag of beans.

Coffee origins by country

The catalog spans 41 coffee-growing countries. Pick one to see its growing regions, flavor signatures, and brewing notes on the map.
